It's a day of sadness....I admit it. But it's also a day of compromised principles as I watch the glee on the faces of many Leaf fans as they cheer for their most hated rival, the Ottawa Senators, all under the ridiculous guise of "keeping the Cup in Canada." There are as many Canadian kids playing on every team in the NHL so this amounts to nothing more than cheering for a city. But I guess if one has very few hockey principles to begin with, the compromise is not that significant.
And look at the last picture...didn't anyone tell Alfie you're not supposed to touch that trophy? They're certainly doomed now...Let's go Ducks! Let's go Red Wings!
I linked to your blog from Tim Challies' site. The first thing to greet me was the taunting of my my beloved Sabres. The fallen Buffalo will rise again.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you might be the only "Leaf blogger" who has ever posted a picture of Alfie on his blog. Oh the shame of it all.
ReplyDeleteKeep whining... this is rich!
ReplyDeleteAnd anyway, didn't you see the title of that last picture? Don't think I didn't notice that!!!
Oh dear, now we've got two Calvinists talking about bad luck !? Frowning providence perhaps, but luck ?!
