57,000 people came out to the opening. Not bad.

THE ETHICAL CONTRADICTIONS OF PETER SINGER
Utilitarian philosopher Peter Singer says some humans—particularly fetuses, newborn babies, and elderly people suffering from dementia—should be killed if their deaths will reduce overall suffering. Never mind that Singer broke all of his own rules when his mother became ill with Alzheimer’s disease.
Here is an insightful article by Catholic scholar Peter J. Colosi. (Note: There are obvious areas of the article with which I would strongly disagree, but the overall logic of Colosi's argument is excellent. Singer is growing in popularity since his appointment to Princeton and we would be wise to know a few things about him and his "ethic."
