  2. Thanks very much Pastor! Ill have to print the 'nearer heaven' devotionals off and meditate on those thoughts in the near future. To Anonymous(in the above post)...In response to your tv offer: Gods Word is the only truth where we can get a clear picture of humanity, our sinfullness and who Jesus Christ is and what he has done! 'Digital-quality picture and sound' does not compare with knowing Jesus Christ and the blessings of being a child of God, adopted into His family!! That leads me to my second thought, and in fact your second post(its amazing how it all fits together) where you mention credit. I have a much better offer, the best offer in fact!! Humanity is sinful and hates God. Because of this, we cannot be reconciled to God. His wrath is poured out on sinners because of their sin. But God, in His great love for us, sent His Son who died on the cross and payed the debt which is owed to God because of our sin. If we believe in Jesus Christ alone for our payment, we are credited with having the rightiousness of Jesus put upon us and we can be recieved by God and stand before Him Justified(we are declared not guilty before God)! Read Romans chapters 1-8 to find out who you are and what Jesus has done for you. Will you follow Christ and trust in Him alone for your salvation? Believe in Christ this day, for we do not know when our life will end and when we will be called to give an account before God! I end with a few verses from a wonderful hymn(by Augustus M. Toplady in 1771)that expresses this well:

    A debtor to mercy alone, of covenant mercy I sing;
    Nor fear, with Thy righteousness on, my person and off’ring to bring.
    The terrors of law and of God with me can have nothing to do;
    My Savior’s obedience and blood hide all my transgressions from view.

    The work which His goodness began, the arm of His strength will complete;
    His promise is Yea and Amen, and never was forfeited yet.
    Things future, nor things that are now, nor all things below or above,
    Can make Him His purpose forgo, or sever my soul from His love.

    My name from the palms of His hands eternity will not erase;
    Impressed on His heart it remains, in marks of indelible grace.
    Yes, I to the end shall endure, as sure as the earnest is giv’n;
    More happy, but not more secure, the glorified spirits in Heav’n.

  3. Hi twin#2.

    You can pretty much bet that the two anonymous comments left above were posted by a "bot", a robotic script.

    This is the blog equivalent of spam. Likely the postings are made automatically to various blogs in an attempt to entice people to follow those links.

  4. Hi tomgee,

    Thats what I figured, but I thought I would 'spam the spam', if you will...direct peoples thoughts to where they should be instead of to spamed advertising! Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! God Bless...
