kwellum Changes Gears...

Redeeming The Time: A Time of Change

My dear brother Kirk Wellum has finished his ministry at Pilgrim Baptist Fellowship and begins full-time duties at Toronto Baptist Seminary. This is very good news for TBS and now we need to pray that the Lord surprises us by His kindness to Pilgrim!

  1. But how can a guy teach systematic theology with simply a B.Th.?

  2. Thanks for your support Paul... looks like the TBS webpage will have to be updated to reflect the latest "academic details"... alas how could anyone teach systematic theology without the right credentials!!!

  3. Kim,
Not to worry. Kirk has an earned Masters degree and will soon have completed his doctorate... but even better than those letters after his name are the 20+ years of weekly in-depth study into the Word of God to preach two hour long sermons every week.
    He'll do wonderfully!

  4. Kim,

I have had the pleasure of sitting under Mr Wellum's ministry both in church and classroom settings. I have been blessed, challenged, encouraged, and convicted.

The 'talents' God has given him are more than suitable for this occupation and we at TBS thank the Lord for this brother and his ministry.

  5. Was the "two hour long sermons every week" a joke or reality?

  6. Two sermons / week, each one hour long.

  7. Actually, alas, I don't get why it was unusual for Kim to wonder about credentials to teach systematic theology. We're not talking about Bible courses or electives.
