  1. Only one as self-absorbed as Richard Dawkins could turn a tragedy into a statement about atheism and its adherents. Just help for cryin' out loud and stop trying to prove and tell everyone how generous you are. If you have to tell people, it's probably because you're not.

  2. Be interesting to see how much they raise in comparison to faith groups, especially Christianity. Christians tend to be conservatives, and conservatives are more liberal givers according to this article by George Will.

    Thanks for posting this. I have a question: did the red cross have Christian origins?
    The info I found does not specify if it was...it is simpy saying that it was born out of a desire to help people during the war.
