FYI - I'm in Huntsville, Alabama (that southern state just below Tennessee), and we have (1) a minor league hockey team, and (2) a Division I college hockey team (Univ. of Alabama in Huntsville). If you think about it, who wouldn't want to be inside an ice rink on a hot summer day in the south? So don't just assume that if there's no real snow or ice, no one watches or plays ice hockey!
